There is no single duration that applies to every person. Product characteristics, the amount used, lip movement, metabolism and previous treatments may all influence longevity.
Why does the lip area behave differently?
The lips move continuously during speaking, eating and facial expression. A filler may therefore behave differently in the lips compared with a less mobile facial area.
Swelling is not the final result
Early swelling can make the lips appear fuller than the settled result. Shape and volume should be assessed after the initial swelling has reduced.
Does more product mean longer-lasting results?
Not necessarily. Product quantity should be based on anatomy, tissue capacity and the desired proportion rather than longevity alone.
A personalized medical assessment is required to select the appropriate product, amount and treatment plan.
